Join our small group Bosphorus cruise and Istanbul old city tour running every Saturday at 9.15AM from Karakoy Pier.
On this full-day Istanbul tour, you will first discover the city from the water on our luxury motor-yacht. We’ll be cruising on a 60 feet (18 meters) motor-yacht. Please bare in mind that this is a small group Bosphorus cruise which means we limit the participation up to 15 people. During the Bosphorus cruise, you will be introduced to some of Istanbul most interesting neighbourhoods, restaurants, cafes and other important cultural places. There will also be complimentary breakfast bites such as freshly baked cookies, as well well fresh coffee and Turkish tea.
The two hours cruise will be followed by a short visit to Spice Bazaar (or Egyptian Market) area and around. Here you will be introduced to the Turkish coffee culture and its curious history. At noon time we will give one hour (1 hour) lunch break. Your guide will give you our Hand-picked foldable Istanbul map which is full of local nearby recommendations within the area.
The second half of the day will start with a stroll to Gülhane Park which was once part of Topkapi Palace. It will be followed by a comprehensive visit to Hagia Sophia Museum. During this extensive Hagia Sophia visit, you will listen to some of the most interesting anecdotes of Procopius, Byzantine Emperor Justinian and Empress Theodora and of-course Ottoman Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror. Our walks are well-balanced between the past and the present of the city. We also make sure to talk about the architectural details and secrets about the world-famous temple.
Our Istanbul old city tour will continue with visits to Underground Cistern, Hippodrome Square and finally the Blue Mosque. Your guide will be giving you interesting facts and details about all these places making sure it’s an interactive and a sophisticated walk.
We will finish our walk at the Grand Bazaar. Most think that the bazaar is a touristy place, but are definitely wrong! The Grand Bazaar can be a very interesting place if you know where to go and who to talk. We will take you to its backstreets, least visited local parts.
Small Group Cruise: We use a luxury motorboat to take us a journey that starts in the southern part of the Bosphorus Strait and make our way north, discovering the different neighborhoods (that were once former fishing villages) along the way. Our groups are limited to 15 people.
Silent Cruise: No megaphones or narration from loudspeakers. You will have the option to listen to your English speaking tour guide from your headphones. In case you’d like to look around you and enjoy the silence all you need to do is turn off your audio guide, that’s it.
Comprehensive Visits: We take our jobs seriously meaning your guided walk will be around interesting anecdotes based on primary resources. Without boring you, we will underline and show you some of the most interesting and least talked details.
Variety of Choices for lunch: Everyone has different tastes and preferences. Considering this, we wanted to give few alternatives for the lunch break based on our Hand-picked Istanbul map which we will give you for free at the beginning of our tour. Following our Spice Bazaar visit, we will make our ways to a small street full of Turkish lunch options. Choose whatever you like and eat as much as you like without any fix menus or limitations. Average lunch costs 30 -40 TL.
